Editorial Policy
The Fiber Table publishes general educational information about dietary fiber. This page explains how we work so you can decide how much to rely on what you read.
What we are
We are an independent, small publication. Our articles are written by the site's editorial team and are not written or reviewed by a physician or registered dietitian unless an article says otherwise. We do not claim professional credentials we do not have.
Where our information comes from
- The Dietary Guidelines for Americans and other public US government guidance.
- The National Academies' dietary reference intakes for fiber.
- USDA FoodData Central for typical nutrient values.
- Public health and clinical pages from established medical centers and agencies.
Nutrient values are approximate and vary by brand, ripeness, and preparation.
What we do not do
- We do not give personal medical advice or diagnose conditions.
- We do not promise cures, weight-loss results, or health outcomes.
- We do not publish fake reviews or invented testimonials.
Updates and corrections
Each article shows the date it was last updated. We revise articles when guidance changes. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and we will review it promptly and correct it where needed.
Advertising and independence
The site may show advertising, including ads served by third parties such as Google AdSense. Advertisers do not influence our content or what we recommend. If we ever add affiliate links, we will label them clearly. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising and cookies work.
